How to Use the PNG Online Student Information Booklet System (OSIBs)
Introduction
The Online Student Information Booklet System (OSIBs) is the new web-based platform developed by the Measurement Services Division (MSD) of the Department of Education. It replaces the former Student Data Collection System (SDCS) and provides schools with a secure way to manage student records, nominations, assessment data, reports, and communication with MSD.

- Have access to the Principal's registered email account.
- Keep your OSIBs username and password ready.
- Use an updated web browser on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
How to Log In to OSIBs

- Type sibs.mypngmsd.com into the address bar.
- Press Enter.
- Enter the Principal's registered email address.
- Enter the assigned password.
- Ensure the Principal's email account is accessible.
- Click LOGIN.
- Open the Principal's email inbox.
- Locate the OSIBs verification email.
- Copy the 6-digit OTP code.

- Paste the OTP into the verification field.
- Click VERIFY.
- Grade 10 workspace displays a green theme.
- Grade 12 workspace displays a maroon theme.
- Switch between Grade 10 and Grade 12 using the workspace selector.

- Select Sub/Mrk. Nom.
- Record the total number of students for each subject.
- Enter the names of teachers teaching each subject.
- Click Save if the nomination is incomplete.
- Click Save & Lock when all information is final.
How to Download Student Nomination Templates
Step 1: Open Template Upload

- Select Temp. Upload from the Workspace Switcher.
- Click Download Template.
- Confirm the student count displayed.
- Click Download.
- Save the Excel file to your computer.
- Download only the latest template.
- Use the most recently downloaded template for uploads.
- Do not add extra student rows.
How to Complete Student Nomination Templates
Step 1: Work Offline

- Disconnect from the internet if preferred.
- Open the downloaded Excel template.
- Last Name
- First Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- SLF Number
- Subject selections
- Paste names as values only.
- Select status codes from dropdown menus.
- Enter dates of birth individually.
- Use:
- 1 for subjects taken
- 0 for subjects not taken
- Leave no mandatory field blank.
- Scroll to the right side of the spreadsheet.
- Review any error messages displayed.
- Correct all errors before saving.
