STUDENTS of the University of Natural Resources and Environment are calling on MPs, trade unions, churches and civil society groups to explain their stand on national issues.
Student Representative Council president Apa Akena said UNRE students and other universities had broken the silence over the critical national issues. “The national issues for which we have boycotted classes are of grave importance for our nation. Everyone in the country knows that our nation has a huge problem, but they have opted not to speak out,” he said. “For the MPs, it is the fear of missing out on development funds. For the public servants, it is the fear of losing their jobs.
