Primary and Secondary Schools nationwide will have their school bank accounts credited starting today.
This follows the government’s K100 million TFF funding, given to Education Department this week. Minister for Education Nick Kuman confirmed in a press statement released today that schools will have access to their payments early next week. There is a TFF Coordinator in each province who will be working with the provincial staff and overseeing the disbursements of TFF payments and TFF related matters. Minister Kuman reminded all the Provincial Education Boards and schools in the National Education System to accept and enrol students without charging any extra fees. The Minister also called on the provinces to forward their schools’ census forms and ensure all data is accurately entered on time to be included. Schools and their administrations are reminded yet again by Minister Kuman to use the money wisely and only on areas that will improve the teaching and learning in the classroom.
