TEACHERS who have resigned and are no longer part of the Teaching Services Commission must follow correct procedures if they want to be readmitted, an official says.
“First they must go to the provincial education authority, so the authority will identify if there is a vacant position, if there is one the resigned teacher must write to the commission,” he said. “This is to advice the commission that he or she has been given a teaching position and is requesting for readmission. “When the commission readmits the teacher, the teacher will be put on the payroll but if that process is not done, although the teacher is engaged to teach, he or she will not be on the payroll and will not be a member of TSC,” he said. Sori said many of the teachers who have been seen at the DoE were there because the processes and procedures were not complied with. “They have been put off payroll or on suspension because they absconded from the system and have been reengaged and have not written to TSC to advice payroll office to be placed on the payroll,” he said.

I was re-admitted and given a contract by TVET posted at Mt. Hagen Technical College. But because of too much delayed from the department to arrange my visa and organize my flight details, I was not able to push through my re-application instead applied with another company. I am still interested to teach if ever the department will still have an interest of taking me in to the system.
