Papua New Guinea’s National Department of Education, in partnership with the Teaching Service Commission, the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, and Australia’s Partnerships for Improving Education, is set to host the country’s first-ever Teacher Expo. The event will take place on 19-20 September at the Sir John Guise Stadium Indoor Complex in Port Moresby. The Teacher Expo aims to offer a variety of opportunities for current and aspiring educators, including exhibition stalls, presentations, masterclasses, and even activities for children. Attendees will have the chance to explore new teaching resources and tools designed to enhance education in PNG, along with professional development opportunities and guidance on upgrading qualifications. The event welcomes school leavers, university students, and current teachers, providing them with valuable insights into career prospects in education and further professional growth. The Expo is part of an effort to build a stronger teaching workforce across the country.
Organisers highlight that this initiative is crucial for improving the quality of education in Papua New Guinea. The Expo aims to inspire, support, and celebrate the role of teachers in shaping the future of education in the country. Also read Comments are closed.
