MOROBE tertiary students have been warned not to cheat by receiving school fee assistance from different government sponsorship schemes in the province. Morobe deputy administrator – social services Robin Bazzinuc said many students on the provincial government’s Gerson-Solulu scholarship scheme were not being honest as they were also recipients of their district’s scholarship programmes. “Those who are already under a corporate sponsorship must be honest and give space for others who are not in the list to be supported,” he said. Bazzinuc said he would have a list of all tertiary students who were sponsored by their District Development Authority (DDA) and cross check with the list of students who were sponsored through the Gerson-Solulu scholarship, to ensure students were not sponsored twice.
Bazzinuc said he would check the list of Morobe students throughout the country and weed out those students that were cheating. “The money used by the DDA and the provincial government is the same money to help with your school fees.” The National Comments are closed.
