Secondary School students have been told to dream and believe as they prepare to be school leavers. This was the message from Central Governor, Kila Haoda, at the opening of a career expo in Port Moresby yesterday. The three day expo will see over 3000 students from secondary schools in NCD and the Central Province. Held at the Don Bosco Technical Institute, various universities, training institutions, and companies advised students on the opportunities available within their institutions. Most of the students will be filling in their school leaver forms for placement in higher learning institutions. The career expo is held annually to help these students make choices that will guide them to their aspirations. The expo has been running for the last seven years, organizers say the expo can broaden the knowledge of students as to what is out there for them. Students who visited were impressed and said it was a concept that should be adopted by other provinces. Some have made their minds as to what they wish to become. Comments are closed.
