The school head teacher and Board of the Holy Rosary has commended Moresby Northeast MP who supplied a new bus and a new Administration block to the school.
The school board thanked Amaiu for his support to the school by funding the school much needed administration block and new 15seater bus worth up to k700 000. School Head Teacher Gertrude Bade said for more than 30years now since the last assistance was provided by the late Sir Tonay Siaguru who established this school with partnership with Catholic Agency, we haven’t seen any more assistance from a member. He said MP’s have come and gone without noticing that this school existed, but your assistance has made it possible for us to release three classrooms for students to use which are currently occupied by the teachers and the administration. “Your support is well fitted into the schools learning improvements Plan or the SLIP program under which the school had four major projects, the school boundary fence, administration building we have today, double building classroom and teachers houses,” said Gethrude Bade. The head teacher and the board also raised concern to the member that there is a need of Classroom and school in the Six mile area to cater for the overcrowding of students due to the Free education policy roll out by the National Government.
