University of Technology (Unitech) is receiving K16 million infrastructural development funding from the Government this year, through the public investment programme (PIP) funding. The projects are:
“The national Government’s investment into the university over the next five years will be around K67 million,” he said.
The university is realigning its strategic and development plan with the Government’s Vision 2050 goals, National Strategy for Responsible Sustainable Development and Medium-Term Development Plan III (MTDP III). The key components of university’s strategic objectives are to strengthen its governance and institutional capacity, financial self-sufficiency, develop a disciplined workforce that is focused on academic excellence, and cutting-edge research.
