THE teachers union wants the State to reimburse salary deductions that have affected 493 teachers by next pay day. PNG Teachers Association also demanded a full investigation into what they alleged was “electronic transfer fraud” involving State employees and loan companies. Failing that the PNG Teachers Association would not discourage the teachers from their next course which could be detrimental to the school programs.
PNGTA general-secretary Ugwalubu Mowana told a media conference yesterday the union has given a list of eight demands that it wants the State to meet by pay number 21 – next pay week.
