The Office of Higher Education (OHE) released its list of continuing students today in one of the nation’s daily papers. The TESAS Awards Committee of the OHE disseminated that they had convened on December 24 and December 27 to screen and award scholarships to possible candidates attending various intuitions of higher education around the country. The scholarship awards were given out based on a strict Grade Point Average (GPA) system of selection in which only students who passed the required GPA were awarded. The OHE selection committee also made mention that the selection process was scrutinized to the highest level with all candidates’ records thoroughly examined. The list published today showed the names of continuing students selected and awarded either the TESAS or AES scholarships. It was made clear by the OHE office that all persons whose names did not appear in the list today are required to pay the full sum of their school fees as they will be returning to their respective institutions on a self-sponsorship basis. Furthermore, the persons whose names did not appear on the respective list today must receive a note of continuation in order to begin the process of self sponsorship. The OHE office made it clear that the list for new intakes would be released early next week.
