TELIKOM Foundation has provided clean internet online libraries to three schools in Southern Highlands.
The online library service was connected to Ialibu Secondary, Pangia Secondary and Buiyebi High through Telikom’s VSAT installation. Principal of Buiyebi High School MargarethTawina said the students would greatly benefit from the library. “Today there are many changes and schools in rural locations must embrace the change. We are thankful to Telikom Foundation for bringing a vital service to our doorstep and we’re fortunate to be part of this,” Tawina said She said the school could now go online to order books and teachers could pursue studies online. “Our students and teachers can access information accessed by children in the cities and around the world,” she said. Telikom Foundation trustee George Bopi spoke of the importance of e-library and how it would add value to the students and teachers. He urged the schools to take care of the facilities and to use them properly so that they can last long and serve them well. Comments are closed.
