KEREVAT National High School took another big step into technology when it launched its Wifi network last Friday.
The grades 11 and 12 students next year will have an advantage over other students in East New Britain and the islands region as they will be able to access internet for free on their phones and in their computer laboratories for study
This means that they will be in a better position to conduct research and promote the push for “school of excellence” status.
Teachers can also provide latest information during lessons.
The Wifi network was made possible by Telikom PNG as part of its rollout programme.
School principal Ray Rieme Alo said the Wifi network had been on trial for a few days until it was officially launched on Friday.
“This is all God’s doing, He is trying to do something great in this school and is making all things possible,” he said.
Alo told students and staff during the launch to use the network for study purposes and not to abuse it.
He thanked Telikom PNG for making the programme possible.
