MADANG | A grade 12 Geography teacher at Madang's Tusbab Secondary was attacked by a Grade 10 male student at around midday today. Mr Timothy Daun who is now admitted at the Intermediate Ward at Modilon General Hospital said he was attempting to stop a fight that was going on between the Grade 10 male students when he was attacked in the process. Daun said the Grade 10 male student attacked him using a knife. He added he was a 'problem student' from Madang Christian Academy taken in by Tusbab Secondary. Daun said the student attack may be due to an argument he had with the male student earlier today. The alleged student was late for classes and Daun had to force him into class. This, Daun believes, may have forced the student to attack him when he tried to stop the fighting Police have been notified and are now investigating. source: EMTV
