LAST Friday saw the successful conclusion of the fourth and consecutive Commercial Litigation Workshop at the Legal Training Institute.
The week long workshop introduced to 90 LTI students the aspects of modern commercial litigation practice with the final day devoted to aspects of modern criminal law practice and ethics. This year’s training team are from the Queensland Bar Association and includes Australian Federal Judge and PNG non-resident Supreme Court judge, Justice David Logan and four Queens Counsels; Andrew Crowe, Mal Varitmos, Ken Fleming and Saul Holt. The workshop is designed to meet a need identified by Chief Justice Sir Salamo Injia for persons entering the legal profession to be better equipped. The workshop’s content has been developed by the training team in consultation with LTI Director Mrs Pauline Mogish and her staff
