UPPER primary students of Zion-Zeal Christian School, Boroko chapter will take on board the Information Technology (IT) course this year.
The new computer lab installed with 10 new computers and a printer was launched last month by the school principal Sam Warika. Warika said IT is one of the subjects that was introduced in many institutions like the universities and colleges were students would never escape going to. He commended the parents and thanked them for their tireless effort and contributions towards making this possible for the students and the school. “I thank you parents for this wonderful contribution. Without your school and transport fees we should not come this far having 10 computers up here in this room,” Warika said. The project costing K30,000 was an initiative of the school chairman to fully utilise the school and transport fees paid by the parent to develop the infrastructure and other things the teachers and students might need for learning The project will be further enhanced with an electronic library that will be installed by Chayil information technology.
