Students at the University of Technology in Lae are calling on the university's administration to have Dr Albert Schram reinstated as the Vice Chancellor. Hundreds of students from the 24 provinces fronted up at the administration with placards and banners, demanding an immediate answer from the university's council this morning. Starsha Paul, a senior student at the University told NBC News they are given the administration an ultimatum of 48 hours to respond to their two points petition. "Two points, one is for them to bring the reports they carried out last year regarding the VC investigation done but that investigation it was not made public or that's why students are suspicious that its political related and this guy is unlawfully off the country. And number two they are saying that since Mr. Schram came into Papua New Guinea, this university they have seen a lot of changes. They want him to continue." The UNITECH administration could not be reached for comments on the matter. Comments are closed.
