Week 11 of Semester 1 at the University of Papua New Guinea resumes today as students and staff gain access to the Waigani Campus upon presentation of school identification to the campus security. The student entry gate near the university bus-stop was closed with students gaining access into the campus via the main gate. Cone barricades are also being set up at the main entry to monitor the movement of cars into the campus. As university students queued to provide identification to the Uniforce Security guards for entry into the campus, this newsroom also observed that the student leaders who were served permanent exclusion letters were not allowed into the campus and were seen standing some distance away from the security check. Meanwhile a student leader says the SRC members have submitted their appeal letters to also resume classes and are still awaiting response from the university administration. PNGFM/PNGEDUCATION NEWS
