Chairman of the Teachers Service Commission Mr Baran Sori is calling on all teachers in NCD and throughout the country to continue in their line of duty despite the boycotting by UPNG students and other issues that are happening in the country. He made this call after a notice to shut down business houses, schools and public transport by this week Thursday was emailed out and posted on face book by the Coalition of Civil Society Groups. “Civil society groups must follow proper procedures to conduct protest or other form of gatherings instead of sending out unauthorised messages causing fear and disturbing the normal operation within the city” “Teachers must not pay heed to the notice and classes cannot be disrupted on Thursday unless WE get a notice from the authorities to send students home”
