The National Capital District (NCD) provincial government continues to roll out its tertiary scholarship scheme to NCD students around the country with the aim to develop and support human resources in all education sectors. During a cheque presentation at Divine Word University (DWU) to NCD students NCD Governor Powes Parkop said that supporting students’ education and investing in human resource development is very important if we think about our economy in long run. He said that the NCD Commission appreciates the positive impact that the younger generation can have on the city and it is investing in their education through its various assistance schemes. “Port Moresby can transform into a better place and role model for other centers in PNG once the younger generation is educated and given opportunity to contribute meaningfully to its development,” Parkop added.
