GRADE 10s in the country started their national examinations today.
About 54,416 Grade 10 students will sit for the examinations from Sept 30 to Oct 10. Grade 8 examinations will be administered from Oct 27-30 for 116,439 students in the country. Tapo said it was anticipated that 21,057 Grade 12 students in the country would sit their examinations from Oct 13-24. Grade 8s will receive the Certificate of Basic Education on completion of Grade 8 examinations successfully, Grade 10s the Lower Secondary School Certificate and Grade 12s the Upper Secondary School Certificate. These certificates will enable students to progress to tertiary education or take up technical training.
