GRADUATING students from the Don Bosco Technological Institute in Port Moresby have been told to believe in themselves and make use of the knowledge they gained from the school.
University of Papua New Guinea linguistic lecturer Dr Steven Winduo told them to think ahead and always aim high in whatever they did. He said apart from the knowledge that they gained from the school, it was also important that they developed skills that would encourage them to be a good citizen. He said as graduates, they must be able to ask themselves of what they would do apart from what they have obtained. DBTI president Fr Peter Baquero said the school was giving back to the country 210 graduates that were ready to develop it. He told the students that they would be the face of DBTI when they go out to their respective workforce which must always be maintained. Baquero said of the 54 graduates that graduated in bachelor of education, three were confirmed to be teaching in Solomon Islands. DBTI is affiliated with the Divine Word University and has been training young teachers and technical workers for many years. The 13th graduation had 210 graduating in technical courses.
