It was a tragic day for the principal of Badihagwa Secondary School Mr Maru Bala who lost everything that he owned when his house went up in flames this morning. The 3 bedroom house and a CRV vehicle including important documents like certificates and other personal belongings were all lost in the fire. A very emotional Mr Bala said he watched helplessly as his house burnt down right in front him. "I couldn’t do much about it except to wait for the fire truck to arrive on scene which they did but it was already too late to save any of my belongings." “The shirt and the trousers I have on me is the only belonging I’m left with and my children who are at work and school are also left with whatever they are wearing right now,” said Mr Bala. Eye witnesses said the fire started from one of the bedrooms and they believe an electric fault could’ve started the fire which spread quickly to other sections of the house making it impossible for anyone to bring any belongings out.
