THE new Jiwaka Teachers College at Nondugl has enrolled 260 students.
Director Paul Siwi said he aimed to make the institution grow. He said his vision was to make education become a priority for the people of Jiwaka. “My vision is to make sure we have a lot of teachers,” Siwi said. “That is because teachers are the very key people to make sure that the nation develops.” He thanked Defence Minister Dr Fabian Pok for all his support. He said that the college was located at Pok’s North Waghi electorate and as the local MP, Pok was doing all he could to develop the new institution. “I’m calling on other leaders and the people in Jiwaka to support the new institution,” Siwi said.
