WOMEN can do anything if their minds are set on achieving them, Elizabeth Bradshaw says.
She told 348 girls last Thursday during the grades 10 and 12 graduation ceremony at Notre Dame Secondary School in Western Highlands, that they must be agents of change in their families, society and the country. “You are the one that can make a difference,” she said. “Do not cheapen yourself. Go with dignity and impart what you have learnt here with your friends at home. “Do not let yourself down but always think positive,” she said. The theme of the graduation was “Trust and obedience for excellence’’. She urged the graduates to look for ways to make their living. “Nowadays, girls are lured by men easily with money,” she said. “But I want you to think twice because you have a long way to go. “You have to make a wise decision for your own life. You must feel for your parents’ hard work towards your education.” Bradshaw told the graduates to continue their education through the university open campus and private institutions. “You have different destinations. Some of you will go through formal education while others will go through informal education,” she said. “It doesn’t matter so long as you have a good education, get a job and make your own living.” Comments are closed.
